Crimped Wheel Wire Brushes are primarily used for the removal of paint, rust and dirt. They are excellent for deburring, stripping, polishing or applying a decorative scratch pattern. There are two primary materials used in the manufacture of these brushes. Special high tensile strength steel wire is used in standard brushes for general purpose brush application. Stainless steel wire is designated by green plates and cups and resist corrosion and operate cooler in high temperature aplications.

I use my wire wheel buffer more than any other piece of equipment I have in my auto restoration shop. It gets used hard and used a lot! I haven't had this particular wire wheel very long but I likely have already put a few hours operating time on it. So far, it hasn't lost one single wire off of it! That's pretty amazing. And it cleans very efficiently without having to use a lot of force.
