• A dry working grade that combines fine alumina blended with green chromium oxide for producing a bright lustrous buffed surface.
• Rouges were originally developed for the jewelry trade to color buff metals such as gold, platinum and other precious soft alloys.
• Because rouges are formulated using very fine, particle-size abrasives and binders of high melting-point greases, they are now used extensively in other trades for color buffing whenever a dry working, luster buffing operation is desired without leaving a smutty surface.
