Special shipping rules apply to certain items which must be delivered via freight. In order to maintain the best prices online for all your abrasives and industrial supplies, Lehigh Valley Abrasives reserves the right to select the most economical way of shipping your packages. Occassionally, this may mean holding some items of an order until the order can ship complete.
Lehigh Valley Abrasives works hard to get your order to you as soon as possible. We ship most in stock orders the same day, when placed before 3:00 PM ET. We are a growing company and make every effort to have one of the largest stocks of inventory available anywhere, but occassionally we do run out. Some manufacturers will not ship direct to customers. In those cases, we must receive the incoming order and we then immediately ship the orders complete to our customers. Our software automatically notifies you of a change in order status. If you misplace the confirmation email or simply want to manually check the status of an order, click here. Please note weekend orders, placed on Fridays after 12:00 PM ET may not be processed until the following Monday. If there is a problem with your order, you will receive an e-mail within one business day to advise you about the situation.
Oversize items must ship by truck and may incurr additional handling fees for residential deliveries, lift-gate service or redelivery. These items may ship direct from the manufacturer and generally take an additional day or two to configure to your specifications and validate the order.
Lehigh Valley Abrasives ships throughout the U.S., Canada and to more than 200 countries worldwide. International shipments are subject to import fees, duties, and taxes (which are levied once a shipment reaches the destination country) in addition to the brokerage fees/custom clearance charges that may be imposed by the carrier. These charges must be borne by the recipient. Lehigh Valley Abrasives has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they might be.
Due to high international shipping costs, taxes, and duty fees, we cannot ship any order that includes backordered items. We will hold the order until all items are in stock and available to ship. Please contact us if you wish to cancel or change these items.
If an international shipment is refused and/or returned, any taxes, duties, custom fees, brokerage fees, or shipping charges incurred from this return will be the responsibility of the customer. Due to our extremely low negotiated shipping rates, additional charges may apply. International orders must be place over the phone and paid for, via wire transfer, prior to the shipment. Most shipments will require a signature upon delivery. Someone must be at the address provided to receive the shipment, inspect if for damage and sign for it. Generally, packages cannot be rerouted or picked up once in transit. If you require additional help to receive your package, please contact us.
Damaged in transit: If a shipment arrives and there is noticable damage to the package, or if items are missing from your order, please keep the original shipping material (cardboard box, padded mailer, pallet, etc) so that we may issue a damage claim with the carrire. Please notate on the bill of lading or with the delivery person any noticable damage. Conact us immediately and do not dispose of the shipping materials or return the merchandize without going through these steps, as all carriers require an onsite inspection of most damaged shipments before the issuance of a credit.
Missing items: All missing items claims must be reported within five business days of delivery. Contact us to report a missing item from your shipment.
Machinery, Welding Tables and other oversized items shipped by truck: Please thoroughly inspect the item(s) upon delivery. Ensure the item is the correct model, in operable condition, and not damaged. Do not sign the delivery manifest prior to a complete inspection. Once you sign for the item, you are accepting the product as is.
If the item is damaged, please make a notation on the delivery manifest, and have the person delivering the merchandise sign as well. Contact us within 48 business hours to report the damage.
Orders are generally delivered based on the shipping time indicated on the purchase order.
Please allow additional time for shipments to U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, or military APO/FPO addresses. Items that ship by truck may take an additional 4-5 days.
Our business model is built on lean manufacturing principles and immediate shipment of in stock items at reasonable rates. Additional shipping options are available, at an additional cost, by contacting us, subject to instock status of the items.

Expedited shipping is not available for orders being shipped internationally or to U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, or military APO/FPO addresses. Please allow additional time for orders shipped to these addresses.
Shipments can be sent to both P.O. boxes and military APO/FPO addresses. Note: Please allow 6-8 weeks for orders shipped to military APO/FPO addresses for them to be delivered.
